i usually do my own patterns, so they are always different...but i do a lot of table runners, so those patterns are usually the same, just different fabric, or theme........gina

I find it very difficult to use a pattern twice. I seem to get bored with it. Same with seeing a movie or reading a book twice. I know what happens ahead so what's the point.

I've made 4, Turning Twenty Again, quilts. Very easy pattern, with fast gratification. And everyone loves them too. All made differnt colors. Black/White, Blue/Yellow, Purple/Green, and Red/White/Blue. Want to make another Red/Black/White and another Purple/Teal.

I made 3 maple leaf quilts. 2 king size and one queen. I am sick of that for now. On to a new one.

I can't follow a pattern to save my life it just gets more confusing when I read it. I love to look at the pictures of quilts for inspiration and then improvise so I never make the same quilt twice lol

If I'm working on a quit pattern that I have done before and find trouble working on it, I put it away for a day or so and then come back to it, usually after I have worked on a few other projects in between. I love making 9-patch blocks with a snowball block inbetween for easy baby quilt gifts. I find it to be a no-brainer quilt that I can do again and again - I get results quickly and I get to take time away from a "problem" quilt. I have lost count of how many I have made. I also make a lot of table runners and find myself leaning towards the Jacob's Ladder quilt block, it makes an attractive table runner, it's easy to put together, very little thinking and I come up with a beautiful table runner, especially when I switch fabrics around for a different design element.

I'm working on my 3rd Jewel Box quilt. This one's for DH. He decided he wanted a scrappier version. I've been finding all the leftovers from the other two & salvaging any that fit the earth tones color scheme.
