How Many of We Quilters are Grandparents?????
#361
I have 15 grandkids ( 7 girls and 8 boys --ages 21 mo. to 28 years) and 4 greats (1 girl age 6 --3 boys ages 19 mo to 4). There are a couple of "steps" thrown in there somewhere, but I never bother to check..

I started quilting as a "youngster" of 24. Now I have 3-1/2 plus 2 step-grandchildren. I don't feel much older than 24 on most days. I homeschooled 5 kids with very little time to quilt, but I think I'm busier now. Yes, grandchildren are the greatest invention!

I did no quilting or sewing except for dollmaking until I retired. Now with 2 sons in their 50's, one daughter in her 40's 1 grando 20; one granddaughter in her 20's;(I brought her up); `1 grandson14'; one granddaughter 18; and last but not least, 1 Chinese who will be 6 in February.
I started quilting about 6 years ago.but just started hand embroidery even though I haave an embroidery machine.

I quilted a little when my kids were young, but when the first granddaughter was on her way I started to quilt again, along with smocking, crocheting and knitting. Now I have a total of 3 gk's and the quilting is the only one I'm totally addicted to. That first one is ten, another girl 4 and my boy is 2 and ALL BOY!!!
