I am blessed to have 3 grandchildren. Two girls and one boy. Any time spent with them is very special.

I am grandma to 3 boys and step grandma to one lil girl and a set of twin boys on the way!! Due in March. I seem to have gotten more quilts done when I was just a mom. The kids were in school and home in the evenings so I did alot of sewing then. Then they grew up and the sports took over. Now that I am older I seem to have more free time but I seem to do alot of other things now that are outside. I learned to ride my Harley a couple of summers ago and it seems that summer time is spent doing more riding than sewing.

I have 5 grandchildren and 13 greats, 9 of them boys and only 3 girls but we love them all. And all of them have received quilts I made except one, my daughter would tell me where to get off if I made her only grandaughter a quilt when she is an expert.

I know what you mean by not getting to see them much as my 3 GS's live in Iowa. They grow up so fast when they live far away.

Yes! Grandbabies (and kids) are the most wonderful creations on earth. We have 6 kids, 9 grandbabies and 2 greatgrands. Life just keeps getting better and better! Our second granddaughter to get married did on the 14th in Hawaii. We couldn't go because of my recent surgeries but we got e-mail and phone pictures as the event was happening. With this new marriage, maybe we'll have somemore greatgrands in the next few years.

Don't we love to brag about our grandchildren?? I have 16 grandchildren and 2 greats. We're about to add 2 more---granddaughters which is great because most of the grandkids are boys. They're scattered from California to Arizona to Portland, Maine to Saudia Arabia and Portland, Oregon to Utah. One grandson is now living with us until his mom can recover from major surgery and move into a major new job. I forgot what it's like to be a mom...I'm so tired and rarely find time for my sewing lately. All will settle down....Soon
