Lots of great suggestions...I just wanted to say I like your fabric selection and pattern. Please post another photo when you get it quilted.

I like this idea, but I think the stitching lines should be farther apart than 1/4”. 1/4” would make the quilting very dense and depending on whether it was on a domestic or a longarm could cause rippling, pleating, etc.
