small crosses of some sort would be nice or doves.

How involved do you want to get with the quilting? First thing that popped into my mind was outlining Jesus in the center panel and making radiating lines behind him. Maybe a bit of quilting in his robes where the print shows folds in the robes.

Then I would scour the net for Christian symbols, like the fish, crosses, palm fronds. Google Ukranian Easter eggs or Pysanki. Pysanki designs almost all have a Christian symbolism behind them and many would adapt well to quilting. If you don't want to get that involved, I would still do the center panel to emphasize Jesus, then you could simply extend those radiating lines all the way out to the edges or stop at the first inner border and a simple meander everywhere else.

The quilt itself has loads of spaces to show off quilting though. Feathers in the borders or cables would look nice too.

thanks I guess I should have said that Jesus is a embroidery design. I thought about doing some dogwood but then looked at it again and say I don't know.

I would outline Jesus a couple of times and then do radiating lines from there. In the outer blocks, I would probably do a crosshatch. It is a beautiful piece of work.

thanks all, I had to take the quilt back to my aunt and she had to take it apart. Because she was 2 1/2 inches to wide at the top then the bottom and i would not quilt it because it would make it wonky. so we took it apart and she is putting it back together. then I will quilt it and I found a beautiful cross that I am going to quilt it with. I may put some crosshatching on it, but will wait an see what it looks like once i start putting the crosses on it.
