    When I quilted something with geese around the border, I extended those lines thus crosshatching the center.

    Jennifer23 thank you. That is a fantastic idea and one I can do!! The stippling in the empty parts is easy enough also

    maniacquilter -great idea. I will definitely incorporate that as well.
