They way you have them arranged looks great to me. Sewing into larger blocks makes sense. I always forget to do that.

I am a big fan of asymmetry and would arrange them something like this picture:

I would probably do them in an asymmetrical zig zag, grouping the various colors so that you would have a tannish zig zag, a whitish zigzag, a medium hue one, etc.

Here is one that I also made out of neutral HST, arranged so the fabrics made columns that were the same.

This is awesome. It gives the simple HST a very modern twist. Sarge1's arrangement is more traditional and quilting Chris has a modern barn raising style. another nice option.
