I have a HQ 16 with pro stitcher. A brand new set-up like yours cost about $20,000. Is yours gently used? I absoutly love mine. I bought mine used and had it shipped from Montana. I prayed the whole way. It was everything the lady said it was. I feel like I learn something new with every quilt. I took theclass before renting one at. Shop, so I had a little training using them. Hope you enjoy yours and have many happy hours quilting!

I have a HQ 16 with pro stitcher as well. I bought the store's display model and paid about the same as your quote. I have been very happy with it. If you can find a dealer in your area paying for instruction will be very beneficial and then start simple and practice on baby quilts for charity or for small kennel quilts if you don't want to quilt on something your afraid to mess up. I love mine. And it really was not that hard to learn how to use it. Also, there are several sites that offer some free designs to try them out and they are good to start with, of course the machine comes with some as well. happy quilting.

I have an Avante which I love! Upgraded from the 16 last year. They are good machines and the company is great to work with. Tech support has helped me long distance Numerous times over the years. Now I have local support which is great. Classes are really beneficial
