hunters star quilt will take forever
#23
I used deb tuckers ruler for mine too. It took about a week to make the top. It still isn't quilted yet though. I injured my wrist pretty bad and am just now (seven weeks later) able to sew and press with my heavy iron again. There is a u tube video on it in case anyone is interested.
I also want to make a crossed canoes in blue and white. I love that pattern. I wish she would invent one for that too. LOL!

I think you are making great progress and I admire you for tackling this pattern. It takes me forever to make a quilt. I choose the pattern and then I plan which colors I want to use. I can only work for 3 hours at a time also because of arthritis and it is very rare to have 3 hours without interruptions. I also do the machine quilting on my Janome 6500.

One day (you know 1 day is not a day of the week?) I would like to make a Hunter's quilt but would use 12" finished blocks. I love to PP... Think scrappy would be great & hope to reduce my stashes down...

Here's the 96" x 96" one I made using the Deb Tucker rapid fire (large) tool. I would make one again in a heartbeat with her method/tool, it was such a pleasure having all the points/seams line up.

Onebyone, I love that Add a Quarter ruler. My quilting buddy around the corner dropped one off at my house the other day and I thought geez what would I need that for but once I started using it to trim off my paper piecing edges I was hooked. Love, love, love that ruler now. I like that it has the beveled edge.
