Hancock's of Paducah (KY) 4 miles from Paducah on I24 West is a Harrah's property (casino and hotel) at Metropolis, IL. (Take Metropolis exit and then turn left. Once you get into town, turn left - you will see it.) Make sure you take in the Quilt Museum in Paducah and also there is a great local restaurant in Paducah called Flamingo Row. You will really enjoy it.

I think Bonnie Hunter's Quiltsville USA store is in Downtown Paducah. Musty, if you've ever heard your wife talk about "scrappy quilts" or Bonnie Hunter, I bet she would enjoy going there. Also, several other shops in Paducah. If you want her to be able to take her time and shop, try not to go during the quilt shows in town. So crowded, rather hectic. Unless, of course, you like that sort of thing.

Upon trying to google, I am coming up empty handed, so I guess I was wrong about Bonnie Hunter in Paducah. There was a big busy store downtown that I thought was Bonnie Hunter. It was somebody "famous" lol! She will have a blast, I'm sure.

Wow! All these gals telling you that you are a keeper. I agree. Do you believe in polygamy?

Do you know which road you would take from Savannah to Paducah? You simply must include Hancocks of Paducah. Check out the quilt shops in WNC if you were planning on taking 26. Asheville, Franklin, Hendersonville, and more. Some nice shops also in the SC foothills. And you could include a side trip to King’s Mountain, stay and eat in Asheville. Can I come?

If only you take her to one place, be sure it is Hancocks in Paducah, KY.

I think you are thinking of Eleanor Burns. I have been told that this store is only open during the quilt shows now but I don't know if that is really true or not.

Wow.................. I'm going to remember this thread if I ever find myself single again.

"Wanted...........nice woman who has a sewing machine, a good stash and likes to quilt. Also, likes to travel to quilt shops and have nice lunches out. Please send picture of sewing machine and stash!"

How nice of you and you are a keeper for sure. My husband made arrangements (with my daughters help) to take me to Sisters, Oregon to their big quilt show so I am sure your wife will appreciate any trip you plan to make to work around quilting things. My dh and I went thru the Amish country and that is a wonderful place for quilters and the food is fantastic too so if you can get there sometime with your wife that would be a heavenly quilty trip.
