    Default Husqvarna Viking 980?

    Howdy y'all :c)

A thrift store nearby has a 980 for sale for $20! It has no manual and no attachments with it. So what do y'all think? Should I go for it, or just quietly slink away? I'd sure appreciate any advice! :c)

I have a viking 3610 and it some how got out of time....took it to a repair shop and he said, they don't make parts for these any more and I would charge you about $100. to work on it. So I took it home and it sits in the closet, it was such a good machine. I think I keep it for sentimental reasons.

If it runs, and for $20, you could use it until it dies...

OOPS, I got the numbers mixed up. a 980 is a computerized machine. Why is it on sale so cheap??

Mamagrande, it's at a thrift shop that benefits a local rescue mission, and someone donated three machines. They only want $5.00 for the other two, but they are straight stitch, fairly newer machines, and I don't need another one of those. LOL!

As long as it runs, how can you possibly go wrong for $20. If you don't already have one, it would work as a back up machine if nothing else.
