Default I am stumped. Banana darning/quilting foot.

I saw this and thought that was interesting so I bought it. It was on a flash sale for a few dollars last week. LOL. I have a high shank straight stitch Juki. I have no idea how to use it. The foot holds the fabric in place with feed dogs up or down and I can't move the fabric, the needle does not make a stitch. Does anyone know how to use this? https://www.wawak.com/sewing/sewing-...2/#sku=prt5086

Ha, I tried doing a search...I could not find any info. Maybe that is why it was in a flash sale?

I poked around a bit too, found a few more sites that had them for sale, and this comment. https://sewing.patternreview.com/Sew...s/topic/119133

Sure would be nice if a manufacturer or seller would do a demo video.

Maybe you should contact the company and ask for more information?
Just might be interesting what they come back with!! .... or not!!!

What the heck ... it's worth a try!
Then let us know back here on this thread as to what you find out.
Good Luck!!

Wawak states in their description the foot # you posted is for use for straight stitch only machines.

Found this online-https://sewing.patternreview.com/Sew...s/topic/119133

My Juki is a high shank straight stitch only machine. I emailed Wawak if there is any info about the foot.

Have you tried reducing the pressure on the foot (the knob on top)?

I tried the pressure, fabric still will not move. Wawak rep answered promptly but there was no additional information about this foot. So odd there is nothing online about the use of it.. I found this: https://www.cutsew.com/160342-Quilting-Foot_p_6982.html. Oh well I'll put a ? on the bag it came in and keep with my other feet.

Are you dropping your feed dogs when using this foot? I am having problems figuring out why it won't move. Is the bottom of the foot putting a lot of pressure on the stitch plate all the time? Are your feed dogs moving at all if they are up when the foot is not on?

I did an image search on this foot. Not much found. Sewstar has a good description.FMQ foot for sure, so no feed dogs. And synthetic fabric, which tend to be slippery. Good luck figuring it out.
