I find I have to "reverse sew" quite often if I try to sew and watch tv at the same time but I found an easier way than the seam ripper. I save the dull blades from my cutting wheel and use them to cut the seams apart until they too dull for even that then throw them away.

I've been working on sitting up a true sewing room in our 3rd BR and all I have in there so far are the sewing machines and my notions carts so it is freaky quiet in there when I'm working on a project. Must get a radio, tv or something in there to make some noise! :!:

speaking of watching tv, and sewing, I have to pause and look at the tv every once in a while, so I take that opportunity to stretch. If I don't I will end up with a sore back! Great idea to listen to books while sewing. You can get books on CD and mp3's out of the library now, too... Pandora radio is a great idea, too.
