Same here, I have them on most of my rulers, they work fantastically. Highly recommend them.

Invisagrip works well. Mine came in a roll and went on several rulers. Nexcare tape from bandage section in the drug store is very good. One can see through both.

Have you thought about True Grip?

They are little circles that go on your rules, some one at a quilting weekend had them and I have to say they are better than any thing I have tried to this point.

The GripStrips only stick to the fabric when you put pressure on the ruler. Once you release the pressure, you can move the ruler around with no problem. I tried the sandpaper dots, but didn't like them because the ruler wouldn't slide across the fabric.

Just for fun - try the Nexcare tape by 3M from the drug store or WalMart. It's really inexpensive. If it doesn't work then try the other suggestions.
