Ruth powers has another quilt similar that is also really great... i really like her quilts.

That's the Fons and Porter quilt, not the one pictured by the OP and not nearly as stunning.

The one in the posted photo at the start of this thread IS the Ruth Powers quilt, Third Weekend in October.

For my design was, I have a flannel sheet on the top of my bed, and a long tube, when I am finished working on it for the day, I just roll it up.
the end result of the quilt with the leaves is so great, everyone loves it.

It's a maple leaf applique. You can draft your own pattern.

I seem to remember that this pattern was featured in the Keepsake Quilting magazine and in Clotilde's magazine. I will dig through some of my old copies to see if I can find this. Good luck.
