Something tells me that when you have two of the largest Rubbermaid containers full of completed tops and a couple of smaller ones full of blocks and numerous shoe boxes full of blocks and fabric for sashings and borders that you have a lot of UFO's. I'm not counting them and I refuse to feel guilty about them. Quilting is my hobby and sanity saver and when I no longer can quilt or receive enjoyment from it, then my girls will pack it all up and send it to my quilt guild!

My count is getting to be less and less as I finish tops each year. I don't have storage for finished quilts so am storing the tops and sometimes the fabric for backing. I think I have 4 or 5 that I can think of. But of course I have fabric or kits that haven't been started yet.

Oh I am so glad to see someone else has totes full. I found a tote the other day that I had completely forgotten. Out where I can see them I have five ready to go to quilter and 4 that I am working on,2 class project working on and learning to do crazy quilting and several kits waiting for my attention. Sounds like we are all busy.

I DO keep a running list of my UFO's because when they are put away I forget about them. My total at present time is 62. This does not include fabric bought for a specific quilt that has not been cut into yet. Disgusting, isn't it? This includes 3 large quilts waiting to be bound, and one more at the LAér that I will work on after my knee replacement surgery later this month. The main thing that helps me finish them is space.

I am averaging 1 a month since I started quilting- so 2. But in my defense, I was waiting to get the batting in the mail from Joann's Prez Day sale (rec'd), and now I just need to find the TIME. Thinking I'll do one this weekend. I at least need to get my son's quilt finished since I asked him to make the pattern, and got it done in ~3 weeks. I don't want to start a habit of having a huge stash nor a huge lot of UFOs, so I've picked out a nice pattern for what little stash I currently have (e-patterns had a pretty rectangle nine patch on display today).

I have 12. I am finishing the binding on the largest this week. I plan to finish 3 other small ones this month. Two of them are block of the month that I can't finish until October. I am going to try to finish 2 a month and I will catch up this year. I will not allow myself to start a new quilt until these are finished!
