I have told my family over and over where and who will get my quilting supplies if I die while still having all of it. They may remember or they may give it to the first person who offers to tote it all away. LOL. I don't really care, how will I know anyway.

Some of us had gone and bought fabrics and notions yesterday(cost me about $85.00 yesterday). After all was said and done, I was contacted today to see if I would like to buy the remainder of her stash . I of course said --YES--. So after I got there I ended up filling my car up with fabric and notions of all kinds for $100.
Needless to say I won,t need fabrics for a while. Now I have to resort my entire sewing room to make room for it all. Doing the very very happy dance now.
WTG! A friend's mom died a few years back and I ended up with a Mercury Marquis trunk (as in BIG TRUNK!) full of stuff as well as a pretty stuffed back seat for a $100.

I don't care who gets my stuff as long as they carry it out before my hubby burns it. AND HE WILL.

Bad news - you lost a friend
Good news - her family distributed her wealth

Glad you got some goodies!

The best way to honor this passing is to make use of the stash left behind!

Lucky Duck!! Sorry about your friend . Friends can't be replaced. But you will think of her often when you quilt. I love those bargains 'take all for one money'.

I just finished updating my will. I left my stash to my BFF and if she doesn't want it I have a charity that will take it. They make quilts for kids. It is all written down in the will.

Prayers from the Gulf for her and her family! I'm sure she is looking down on all who rescued her stash. She will probably help guide from above.

So sorry about your friend, and glad you who knew her got so much of her stuff and can continue to make quilts. If she has family lap or even wall hangings for them would be a great keepsake.

So sad that a proficient quilter has passed away; but glad that her relatives did not trash the fabric. You can always spread the wealth, but you've got lots of fun making quilts in your future. At least the fabric went to a good home.
