Sorry for the loss of your friend, but I'm sure she approves of her stash going to other quilters.

I recently remarried, when I re-do my will it will specify that all of my sewing/quilting machines and supplies go to my BFF, and after her to the Guild for the comfort quilt program. My husband would know better but my son would probably just haul it all to Goodwill.

A few years back I responded to a Freecycle ad for fabric/craft supplies. A son was cleaning out his mother's stuff. I filled up the bed and back seat of my Toyota pickup with fabric and left boxes of yarn and doll-making stuff for the next person. After sorting and washing, what I didn't want went to the guild. At least it was going to get used.

It is always a good thing when a quilters treasures pass down to another quilter. You may have had to put out $100, but that probably was not a drop in the bucket as to what it is worth

Sorry to her of her passing. How nice to have her fabrics and notions. Keep her in mind while sewing, I'm sure she would be so happy. I hope if I have any left, someone will appreciate using it.

They were selling FQ,s for all you could fit into gallon bags for $3.00 I also got a 6 x 24 in ruler for $2;00 still in the wrapper. things went very cheap.
After cleaning and re arranging my fabrics to fit it in my sewing room--I found that we had very similar taste in fabrics. I got about 8to 10 yards of Jenny Byers fabrics--which I dearly love. I consider myself verrry lucky .
Ialso enlarged my template collection--most were $.50-to $3.00
