Default I finished my learn new things string quilt.

This fun project was designed for me to do every kind of new thing. I have posted about this baby before but have a much better picture of the quilt as a Show & Tell at my quilt guild. It puts the size in perspective. A great learning experience. I want, with this quilt, to have people spread their wings and try new things. The first one doesn't have to be perfect, This quilt has 8 different techniques or applications that I have never tired before. Some I will not likely try again while others will be a standard for many quilts to come.

Very nice! Having the inner white border controls the scrappiness well. String quilts are on my list as I have many scraps (don't we all?). : )

Thanks for sharing!

Very nice quilt. You didn't say what the 8 new things were. Curious minds (well mine anyway) want to know

Pretty quilt! Please tell us the techniques you practices and learned. Thanks for your encouragement to learn new skills and showing us a great example.
