    I gone and done it!!!!!!

I finally let my DH talk me into getting a new machine for quilting. SOOOOooo I gone and done it, today took my bernina in for service and now I have a new baby he/she is a Janome 7700 Horizon has all the new bells and whistles I have been wanting. The only thing is it comes with a candy apply face will need to fix that. I think I made a fair deal, he/she comes with a Delux table and spool stand. Yesterday I ordered some of those red cllip things found them for a great price, some cone spools of thread. O I also ordered the DEAR Jane book though I got a good deal on it until I read a thread that said I could have purchased the book for $20.00 US. O well can not get a great deal all the time. Guess I went on a little spending spree. Thought I would share with you all can not wait until my new baby arrives wonder will it be a boy or a girl!!!!! ;~) see ya YIPPIE

    Yeah ! !
    Enjoy!
Sometimes you just have to sit in a chair and jog in order to get anywhere.

Hi Woody....you will know immediatly whether you have a MALE or FEMALE machine......As soon as you start using it and it purrs along quite happily...it is most likely to be a she....the real test will be if you want it to do something that it is unhappy with....if a message comes up asking you for instructions then it is definetly a FEMALE....if however it just goes on and gets threads knotted ....and doesn't stop to ask....it is certainly MALE !!!!...............I hope you really enjoy it.....big move to go from a Bernina to Janome.....but I think you will like the change. I have the 6600...and love it. Let us know when you get it.

So very happy for you! A lot of us on the board are doing Dear Jane quilts! Please post your pictures, too and shout out for any help or questions you have! It is an awesome journey.

Wish your new baby was coming before the long weekend!

It's funny what we like. I hate that candy apple face & wouldn't buy it because of the color. But I love the blue faces on my JanomeSE 11000.

I think for most of us it would have been talking the DH into agreeing to buy a new machine! Can't beleive he had to convince you! Glad he did! I'm sure you will love the new machine!

I said the same thing about that red face... didn't really like it when I first met it. And it wasn't so much the red face as the chrome dial. I had been comparing it to the Elna Excellence... and I loved that footsie garage on the front of the Elna. But then I realized I didn't like the screen up in the middle of the machine and then the red and chrome started looking and feeling better to me. Then when I got done doing all of the used-car-like-negotations and got the Horizon for $700 less than the Elna... well... I learned to love that red real fast! You're gonna love her/him.

    Leah Day video

How fun for you, Yippie. You might want to take a look at this video. http://freemotionquilting.blogspot.c...izon-7700.html
It's of Leah Day, and she uses your machine to do her free motion quilting. The video is her commentary on why she likes this machine the best, and she demonstrates how she sets up her machine for piecing and free motion quilting. I always wondered what machine she used in all of here tutes...now I know! Enjoy your new baby!

Your excitement made me smile! Thanks and will be looking forward to see just what your new baby will be capable of! =)
Being skinny isn't easy, so I gave up and opted for being sexy instead. (aunty acid)
