I'm so glad you posted this. Here I was thinking it was just me. I have to walk away and come back to it before it drives me nuts.

sounds like one of those times when I either go yank some weeds out of the garden or curl up with a good mystery read and let my brain get a break!

This is the story of my quilting life. Duh, why don't I pay attention to the yardage requirements EQ7 gives for the ones I design on it?

Sounds like me more frequently than I'd like to admit. I'll embroider something to clear my mind. I have quite a stash of assorted embroidered blocks which I'll use for Project Linus or some other charity.

Wow, I've done all those things. While photographing a finished quilt, realized one block was in upside down. Actually took off the binding and removed the quilting in that area to fix it. Another quilt I was making 9-patch block using 2" squares. Stopped to help my roommate make her 1" log cabin blocks, returned to my quilt and made a whole set of 9-patches with 1" squares. I mowed the yard after that. Next day,, I found the perfect way to use all those little blocks.

I call it 2nd guessing myself. When I decide I have cut short or incorrectly, I try to walk away from the project, do something else for a while or a day and then go back to it and see where I am....or have a friend look at it. Often I was correct the 1st time around.
