I also bought my first set of tips from Sharons daughter and still use them, I like them so well I give them as gifts to my friends so when we are together at quilting retreats or whereever, we have our own bottles of glue with the fine metal tips on them. You take the orange cover off the glue bottle and use one from the package with the tips that will fit the glue bottle and just cut a small bit off the tip of the cap and put a metal tip on that and you are set to go. If, and when the tip becomes clogged just take it off and put it in a cup of hot water for a while and it will be ready to go again.

    Good Luck

I bought the tips from Sharon's daughter's site when I found out that Sharon no longer carried the. However, I can not seem to get the glue to come out of the very tiny metal tip. There were a couple of plastic lids with long tips that came with these metal tips. I just use them, since I can't seem to get the metal tip to work. You might check with Hobby Lobby or some craft store or site and find a long plastic tip that might work for you.She did advise NOT to use a metal pin in the glue tip when storing it, because it has a tendacy to rust and get into the glue -ask me how I know, I forgot and did that. She uses the plastic tips that come on a clothing tag that is attached to garments with the store price tag.
I guess there could be other things that work as well. Good luck. Perhaps you might find some tips on FaveCrafts.com.

I don't use her special tips, just carefully squeeze the glue out of the regular Elmer's bottle. It tends to want to bead up if I don't adhere the other fabric to it right away, so I also use the side of the tip to kind of spread the glue out. It is easier to manage the project if the glue is spread out instead of beaded up. If it beads up then it wants to ooze out where you don't want it. Hope that helps!

I've used Sharon's method for binding and loved it. Using glue helped alot.
I found a fine metal tip set at Michaels. It's made by Loew-Cornell and was reasonable. It says their tips are for lettering, fine lines & beads to be used with paints and glues. www.loew-cornell.com for more info.
    I hope this helps.

Roxanne's makes it easy. The glue, the tip and easy to find in the quilt store or online.

That's what I do too. I've gotten so I can control the flow pretty well & use real small dots.

Got mine at Walmart..where the art supplies are. You can also order them from Dharma Trading company online:

They have anything and everything for painting/dying fabrics.

I understand she used to sell them on her website, but doens't anymore. Anyone have a suggestion as to where I can get the tip? I know you can use the glue sticks, but I am concerned I will get too wide a line of glue. The very narrow line that she is able to get with the tip seems the most desirable. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I use this method too. I found that the DecoArt Foam Paint (1 oz bottle) has a very fine point that works wonderfully. I dumped out the paint and rinsed the bottle. I have used it for almost 2 years. I just found (at Michael's) a package with 2 bottles and 7 tips. It was $6.49. It was in the department with the decorative paints. It has 4 metal tips .5mm, .7mm, and .9mm, and 3 plastic tips. I am anxious to try them.
