Default I have a question about iron pellon 987f fusible fleece and more

Do I need to wash pellon 987f fusible fleece before I use it? Also, I need to buy a lot of this for a big project so where can I get at so that it will not cost me an arm and a leg. I have 200 reading book bags which are that I volunteer to make for a local school in a small town that barely gets enough funding to keep going but they will not give up on the kids in this little town. So, I making them for the reading teacher to put the students bi-weekly reading plans, books and sheet to handout to all of the children from grades K - 5 in kid friendly prints to take their reading homework in and bring back to school every two weeks. The teacher is a Title 1 Reading Teacher which I do not know what that means, but I doing this for the kids. Also, I have been working on 300 throw quilts in kids friendly prints to give to each child and staff for Christmas Gift. A lot to these kids hardly get anything for Christmas, so I thought that while they are reading their books for the reading class at home they can wrap up in these throw quilts and the same for the staff to take a load off their feet at the end of the day.

I see no need to wash the pellon before use. This is a huge project, hope you have a helper or two.

You can buy it in JoAnn's, they usually have it on sale, if not you can use a coupon. Also, check if your local WalMart sells it, sometimes they are cheaper than JoAnn's with a coupon. Amazon also sells it. I bought a bolt of 45" wide 10 yards for $51.00 online at Walmart.

Walmart.com may have it, and it will be delivered right to your door.

I always check the clearance fabrics at JAF. Recently I was able to get fleece for a penny a yard. My sister wen crazy and bought more than 100 yards of fleece for a penny a yard. Me on the other hand got quilting cottons for a penny a yard and got 140 yards for $1.40. Now I know that kind of sale only comes around maybe 4 times in a lifetime. Fleece is frequently available for a lower price in the clearance fabrics though.

    Default Joann's Clearance Sale

I was shocked when you said you bought 140 yards at a penny a yard. That sale was "for each regular or sale price yard you bought you were to get one clearance yard for a penny" ----- and if I remember correctly, there was a limit of 10 -----pretty sure on that. As a former Joann's employee, I honestly can't imagine any employee and especially not a manager abusing the system like that and not getting fired! My ex-joann employees agree -- not sure how she could have even gotten that sale into the register! Joann's is very picky about their rules and the manager who waited on you that day might not have a job for long if she is cheating the company often! This was a first ever type of sale.

You might want to check Michaels for the fusible fleece if you have one near you. They might have the best price and they do take Joann's coupons.
