I like Maniac Quilter's idea for the quilt. It is clean and linear in design. I believe he would like it very much.

I love the Double Irish Chain quilt pattern as shown by ManiacQuilter2, it's a beautiful design and I think would make a gorgeous quilt.

I like the double irish chain, but the first idea I thought of was either a lover's knot like this one: http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...e-t122494.html or a rail fence. I like the light grey for the background though

Could even triple the chain with a burgundy and gray print....

THANKS all of you for the compliments. I was just delighted that Don has already bought the fabric for this quilt so we should be seeing the finish product in a couple of months. The pattern I used is from the book Time for a Chain by Possibilities. I LOVE EQ7 and this is the reason why. Don inspired me and I am doing a quad Irish Chain either in purple or watercolor fabric. Just what I didn't need, another quilt to start.

Love this quilt! The colors are terrific. I'm beginning to get quite enamored with grey lately - guess it's not really new as we have had light pearl grey carpeting in our last two houses - from 1987 to current. I hate beige. Anyway, thus pattern is perfect and should be easily pieced and quilted.
