I took jdiane318 advice and decided to try glue on my broken 15 inch Omnigrid ruler. I bought some Superglue and went ahead. I used clear packing tape on the bottom side to match up the two pieces perfectly (and to catch any run off because I didn't want to glue it to the table). I then used that tape like a hinge to slightly open the crack and ran the Superglue along it. I layed the glued pieces flat on my table to dry overnight. I think it did a pretty good job.

What a great idea. You can get a few years more use out of it.

$$$ saved! I will have to remember this one. Honestly, I bet many of us have sat on rulers etc.

I havent ever sat on mine Knock on wood...but when my uncle was about 6 or 7, my grandma was crocheting with one of those real tiny pointed crochet hooks making a table cloth and he sat right on the needle and they had to take him to the ER and they had to operate on his BUTT to remove it as the needle had broken inside his butt.
