I'm glad you got it after sitting in your car wrapped in a blanket it sounds cold but looks like it was worth the suffering. How does the tension work on those machines. I remember my grandma's having them and also the one's with the foot tredle but can't remember how the tension would work. Do you think they are as good as the newer machines? Thanks for sharing. Sue

Just bought one yesterday, $40. Don't think they knew what it was. Looks to be totally genuine cept everyone I have seen has plain feet on it. TAhis one has like, lion claw feet, small though, on it. Looks to be brass. Hard to find much info on them so far. Seen it, walked away, come home, went back and bought it. Still in van but it is MINE, MINE, MINE. Do not know where I am going to put it though. Small house.
