Wow!! I just caught up on all the comments..... I'm even more excited with my find. There is a serial number on the metal frame that holds the machine and the cushions that keep the metal from scratching the machine looks good..... but old. I looked up the FW's age and it is 1953. There wasn't one of the black cases for it. I figure this one was purchased in the cabinet. If that is the case, the cabinet is 1953 as well. It looks like something from the early 50's..... maple wood with that reddish finish.

Someone wanted to know how to research estate sales. I go to www.estatesales.net. If I never find another 'deal' I'm happy. I found the fantastic deal of a lifetime for me.
