I love trying new quilting techniques.

I have just started doing appliqué by hand. Doing the Free Craftsy Block of the Month has allowed me to try new techniques that I would have never tried. If you aren't doing the Cfaftsy BOM, you might want to check out the new skills you can learn there.

I find curved piecing kind of fun to do (yes, I'm weird). Just make sure your pieces are really cut exactly & use LOTS of pins. Other than that, it's easy! I'm hankering to do another 1930's "Drunkard's Path" just posting this!

I want to try lined or innerfaced applique. I like to do needle turn so I think that technique might be fun, too. We'll see... I also want to try adding a flange to a quilt. That's not a "technique" per se, but...

Will you share the names of the books? I found a japenese folding/piecing book at the library that I thought was interesting. I'm always on the hunt for interesting books.
Thanks,
Suzy
