Default I missed the quilt show

I live in San Antonio and saw that they were having a San Antonio quilt show,
. Put it on my calendar along with the a woman's expo that was held the same weekend. So I went with my girls to the Expo on Saturday and my husband and I drove to the quilt show after church today..... And there was nobody there. Then we read the dates and realized that I missed it by a day. Oh we'll, hopping to make it to the one in Houston. Anybody around here go to the one in San Antonio ? And how many are going to the quilt show in Houston?

I have noticed a lot of the shows close on Saturday - not sure why. But I found out the same way you did.

My problem, I just assumed it was Saturday, Sunday Not realizing that it was a Friday, Saturday. It was clear across town too. 45 min from where I live.... At least I was with my hubby, we were able to spend the day together.

We drove over from Houston to see the show and enjoy the Riverwalk.... Thanks for the reminder, Pete!

Haven't missed the last 2 but the one in 2013 was better than this past February. Here in Corpus Christi. not as many vendors this year but the quilts that were there were gorgeous. I just stay local. Can't get anyone to go along.

Being disable, it is just too much of a hassle to get to any quilts shows. I just find so much more inspiration from this board.

I was told the vendors prefer to be able to drive home on Sunday. I would think the customer's preference would be more valuable. Our local show is Thursday, Friday, Saturday.

It's a wonderful group, isn't it? I feel guilty for not joining my local quilter's guild, but feel like I already belong to the best guild there is right here!
