This is a very easy and fast quilt to make as shown in this "Jelly Roll Quilt Races" youtube video:

Isn't that a fun video? You could make your own strips.

Pot holders and matching hot pads are quick and easy and use up larger scraps of fabric. Can make a dozen in a couple days........good luck in what ever you decide to make.

Buy a cute novelty fabric, cut into 4-5" squares and frame in two coordinating solid-ishes. Looks cute!

How about several sets of Mug Rugs using up some of your scraps - that way they would have more than one thing to sell/auction. (Small items also tend to sell easier than a reg. size quilt, which never seems to bring near what they should)

(Be sure & add one of the cute Mug Rug poems to them so non-quilters will know what they are for)

A place for coffee, water, pop or tea
Whenever you use it, think of me. (or maybe "the JDRF")
Extra room for a little treat
Be it fruit or veggies or something sweet.

I could have made a bigger quilt,
I'm ready (and I'm able)
But instead I made this tiny quilt
to save your lovely table
So when you're drinking something hot
and want to rest your mug
Remember that your special cup
now has its own sweet rug

Good luck & have a blessed day

I concur with the disappearing 9 patch. Use your stash to save on costs. I have made 2 so far. They are a lot of fun, quick and look totally different from each other. It's all on how you turn the blocks.
