Very impressive!! I'd keep the quilting very simple.

Wow, it looks great! I'd keep it really simple and quilt around the patches.

Hand quilting through batik is really difficult. If I were you, I would take some scraps from the quilt and layer them with batting and see how you do hand quilting them.

Please let us see it finished!

Ah, rats! The edit button is erasing the original post!
I totally agree with Kiffie. Let the fabrics, colors and the pattern speak loudly for themselves!

    Congrats, it's a wonderful quilt!

Beautiful quilt!! I also would 1/8" shadow quilt/outline quilt. I'd use a gray thread. Guterman has a lite gray waxed cotton that is nice. YLI has a gray, but I think it is a bit darker. The borders??? I'd have to take the quilt top to my local quilt store & "play" w/ the templates/stencils...

And, those lovely batiks need to be seen, too... I can't call it stitch in ditch, or 1/4" quilting, as I think sid is too close, and 1/4" is too far, hence 1/8"...lol...ah well, that is why we all are unique, eh?..
Good luck, and I know there will be others along who will have lots of great quilting ideas for you!!

PS Now on the borders, I think a design that picks up designs in your quilt would be lovely...
I guess I must be old fashioned, too. I like the "outline quilting". It seems to carry the piecing pattern over onto the back very well.

Zero help from here on how to quilt, but had to remark on this beauty! Wow!! You did a fantastic job.

It is absolutely breath taking. I LOVE it. As for quilting it, I would do the 1/4" seam echoing. Although I do both longarm and dsm quilting, I think anything else might detract from your gorgeous pattern in the quilt JMHO.
