Default I need your help with finding previous post

Someone posted a 2 piece system for getting perfect seams. It was able to do multiple sizes from 1/4 inch or so on up. I know you put it on your machine and put the needle down thru the hole of the size you wanted to use and then butted up another piece that stuck and removed the first piece leaving the one to the right of the needle to butt your fabric up against. I wanted to check it out and failed to mark it or comment on it. I know that someone here will be able to help me. Thanking you in advance and like others, I don't comment often but have gained much knowledge from the many wonderful quilters on this site.

I think it was under "links and resources". The title was "ideal seam guide is great".

Could it be from Bonnie Hunter? She has a plastic tool that you set your seam allowance and then a homemade seam guide to run your fabric along fir her antique machines. The tool is only available if you take a class I think. The seam guide is on her site http://www.quiltville.blogspot.ca look under the Tips &Techniques tab at the top of her page and look for the title Best Seam Guide Ever.

For $35-$40 dollars I can buy a lot of painters tape to mark my guide lines or several 1/4 inch pressure feet for my machine. It may work great but I would probably loose it after the first time I used it

red electric tape set w careful measuring from needle out using a drafting ruler has been my way of marking 5/8" for clothing & later 1/4" for quilt piecing. roll of electric tape is common part of the things i fill my toolbox with. special quilty tools are very overpriced. and besides, it's more fun to make do w great ideas & things i already have.

Thanks auntpiggylpn, I am tempted to try it. I usually use a command strip and that works good but collects threads and loses its stick.
