My cutters are all closed and when the little ones come over they are up high and out of sight.
How frightening for you! So glad he had no permanent damage.

Just thought I'd let you know.....I cut my finger very badly with a very sharp rotary cutter. Then, later on in the day, I cut my hand while chopping veggies for a salad!

    That was the WORST!

I warned one of my friends and the very next day - - the cutter started heading to the floor, and she reached out to try to catch it! Her husband told me to never warn her again about ANYTHING! LOL <wave>

I too have cut myself with the rotary cutter. i ended up wtih four stitches. I guess i was cutting too fast cause the blade jumped the ruler. Every time i use that ruler now i see the mark in it and remember to slow down and keep my hands out of the way. But my husband got me a set of suction grips from Harbor Freight and now i only use them when cutting. I love them and keeps my hands out of the way.
