I have been working on organizing my scraps the last couple weekends. I started with deciding which size strips to cut, then from there do bricks and last squares.

Today . . . I cut my finger with my rotery cutter :( Now I really am a quilter.

Sorry for the short post - it is hard to type with no index finger.

Just a nick - but darn it!!! :)

You're lucky it's only a nick. I sliced my index finger off starting at the 1st joint to the tip. Just missed the nail! This was a real disaster! Am very careful where I put my hands now.

Yup. You just got hazed and inducted into the quilter's society. :D

Oh No!!! Everyone raise the finger(s) in the air, that got them inducted LOL So far, I have only trimmed a couple of finger nails

had a broken foot, so was sitting on the couch, with foot up. cutting on a small board between my legs. Dropped the cutter and cut a deep gash in my leg. boy did I feel stupid

I had recently cut my fingernail in the middle. I see that mark every time I look at my hand and just shake my head. At least it was a dull blade. I kept telling myself that I needed to replace it but sure was glad I didn't at the time. LOL

My quilting teacher says: If you cut the teacher you have to pay $5, if you don't close your cutter after using it, you pay .25 in the kitty.
