Cminor, sorry to hear about the cut, be sure to use anibotic cream or something on it regularly, to keep down infection. Metal cuts and often be excellent for a good ole infection. Keep it clean, wishing for a quick healing. (Dr.) not really, lol Gerbie

Who said quilting was a "gentle art"?

I've nicked a finger nail, but my GF had to get stitches. ALl this means is SLOW DOWN! That's what I told her anyway. Hope the booboo gets better real soon, Ms. Bonafide Quilter, you!

Thanks! I am such a baby. It is on the outside of my left index finger. And I am left handed, so I can't even write well.

I get migraines, and took a pill for that just before this happened. So I ended up bleeding for hours and hours because of the pill making the blood thiner or something like that. Just a little cut, but it is such a hard spot to keep pressure on. Not to mention the baby part again, but my husband had enough of the whining by time we went to sleep.

I looked like a goof with my finger in the air every time the dogs came around. I was afrid they would bump it! :)

Ouch! I hate it when I cut myself, I bleed allover forever, so I always have to stop sewing!

When I first started quilting (5 yrs ago) I cut my finger from end to end down to the bone and had 18 stitches to close it and stop the bleeding! I thought all quilters cut their finger, ater that you are a true quilter. lol

I've been there and done that too. I cut the tip of my left index finger off and I've never felt so much pain (and I've given birth to 4 children). I almost passed out. Believe me, I'm much more careful now.

Ouch! I cut my strips 2 1/2. I've only had slices on my hand and moved my hand away so fast, that I've never needed stitches!

Sorry for the short post - it is hard to type with no index finger.

Just a nick - but darn it!!! :)

You were lucky. Could have been much worse. Hugs on the way.
