It really is soft. It is an odd fabric.

Yes it is. Worth all of the hoopla it seems to have created.

So...Interesting story. I got all excited when I got the fabric in the mail today - it certainly helped brighten my day (it was kind of rough). Fiance and I were eating dinner (spaghetti), we don't have a dinning room table so we eat on the floor in the living room (one bedroom apartment). The fabric was sitting on the couch near my computer mouse. Finace grabs the mouse which causes the fabric to fall on my plate. :( Fortunately it's fabric and can be washed.

Hey - looks like a candidate for a whole cloth quilt - maybe African in nature - mud cloth. I think it would look really neat as large blocks with very bright fabric surrounding each block - oh yeah!

Maybe I'm the only one, but I think it looks a bit phallic!! I'd use it in a way that cuts it into small pieces!

ROFL Girl where have you been? We have been having phallic fabric fun for a few weeks. I think most of the fun was on the other thread.

http://www.quiltingboard.com/posts/list/20687.page might be an interesting read for you.

Trust me, you're not the only one. Check out the Ugly Fabric Adoption thread.

WOW!!! Glad to hear I'm not alone. This is hysterical!! What's even more funny is the difference between the two threads! I was starting to think I had some issues there....
