I really love Kaffe's shot cotton in "sludge" and it's out of print... I found some online at $9.50 a yard and went to buy 5 yards... I filled out all the information and then the total showed $10.95 in shipping I changed my mind.. so I had to tell someone... thanks for listening and I promise to post something more interesting next time :-)

Think how much more fabric you can buy at the store now with what you saved on shipping!

Good job. Shipping costs can add a lot to the per yard price. I refuse to pay ridiculous shipping charges. Those people could have shipped your package USPS very inexpensively, but were too lazy to give you good cart options. Their loss.

High shipping costs have saved me a lot of money over the years.

High shipping stops me so often. Thank goodness....When it is shipped to Canada, we usually have to pay $7-$9 extra. I know we have to pay some shipping, but I don't like paying on a $$$ amount, when the weight is next to nothing, ie: a pattern.

Will you be kicking yourself later for not getting it?

Shipping costs involve more than just the postage put on the envelope.

If it had been me, I probably would have gone ahead and gotten it and then found it for half the price a day or two later! Keep looking and maybe you'll find a sweet deal.

I agree, I was recently going to purchase a table runner pattern that I really want, but the shipping was over $10.00

Thanks everyone for your support! I am so good I decided to put the money I was going to spend towards a bill payment instead... it feels great but it's sure painful knowing that fabric is at my fingertips ;-)

The shipping costs have kept me from spending money more than once. SOmetimes the shipping has been more than the item, and that is just plain ridiculous. I recently bought a foot for my Kenmore from Sears, and they first sent a Fed Ex package with just a piece of paper saying the item was being shipped. Then, the next day this BIG box arrives with the little foot in it. The foot was $7.99. The whole bill was over $16. They sent an email confirmation. They could have sent the foot in a bubble envelope for a few dollars, and the whole thing would have been about $10.

And they wonder why they are losing money? Sheesh.
