I had a quilt that I put back for 4 years that was marked with the brown marker. Finally quilted it, crossed my fingers and washed the quilt. It came out with no sign of that 4-yr old marking. Thought sure that after 4 years it would be permanent....not!

I am going to the dollar store today to buy a pack. I have been using pounce, and frisson pens, and will try the washable pens to trace stencil designs on my hand pieced and quilted farmer's wife sampler. I will test sample first. Great idea!

I was in a store the other day and while waiting on line to pay my attention was drawn to those Crayola pens. My instinct was to buy them, but I didn't. I'll be going back to get them now. Should have followed my instinct.

I had used tracing paper and made my stitches small and that worked pretty good, but now they have a water soluable paper...not sure where you buy it since I haven't tried it yet...
