It will soften if you wash it. Good luck.

moda bella solids are nice- quilting cottons---they soften with laundering, time & use---they may have some sizing on them when you recieve them- simply wash & dry them- with detergent- fabric softener if you are one to use it- then i generally take them out of the dryer before they are too dry- iron if needed- starch if desired- they are fabrics made for quilts- not stiff...or tablecloth linens.

Holy Smokes that was fast! I finalized this order on Saturday morning with the seller (CarmenJass on Etsy), and it's in my mailbox tonight from Minnesota! The fabric IS nice; thank you for easing my mind today, everyone. This will be one interesting venture, that's for sure. (My second quilt, and already straying away from a 'real' pattern because my kid decides he wants to design his own. Oh well, I'll figure it out. Whee!

Moda's bella solids are not stiff and make up well in quilts. We sell alot of it at the quilt shop.

I've used it and like it very much. Too bad we can't feel the pictures because some of them do make the fabrics look coarse.

I've bought Moda Bella Solids from about 3 different places and have never had a problem. Don't stress until there is something to stress about. It is a very nice fabric and not stiff at all.
