my husband and I are both on strict budget because we have both on unemployment but if i need something for a quilt he finds a way to give me the money because he knows I work hard on the stuff I sell to make some extra money but when we both worked and went to quilt shows he never said no to my buying anything he even half the time picked out the projects he thought I should do. Sure miss having jobs

I have a stash, but who doesn't need more. He gave me $40 for Valentine's Day and said to get some fabric. He's so sweet!

Has anyone read the Shenandoah Series of books by Emilie Richards? It is a set of five books that are all named after quilt blocks and there is an old woman who has an attic full of stash, going way back to the beginning of time, I think!!!!!! And if anyone needs fabric, they can go up in the attic and pick out what they want and can make a quilt with it. I would love a neighbor like that. Very very good books!

    They are: Wedding Ring
    Endless Chain
    Lover's Knot
    Sister's Choice
    Touching Stars

In that order!!!!!! Just thought I would throw that in. They also are in audiobook form from the library also.

I don't think anyone can have enough stash, providing they look at it once in a while, feel it, and sort of plan ahead what it can be used for. Edie

Altho my husb has never commented on my stash, I have a feeling he "notices" it. So every so often when I'm on this Board, I'll show him a pic of someone elses much larger stash, just so he knows how "little" I have. Thanks to everyone for posting those large stashes!!!

When my DH was living, he was the one to suggest that I get a different machine when he thought the present one was in the repair shop too often. On coming backing from a shopping, the 1st question was, "Well, how much material did you get this time?" This was all said w/ a grin while hiding behind the paper. If I said not one thing, he'd ask if I was sick. LOL God, I miss that man.

My husband doesn't mind me buying fabric as long as it is at garage sales and not more than $1 a yard.
