I was using spray starch...how do I clean the iron???

I've tried every one of these suggestions. I spent more on products (Mr. Clean eraser, iron cleaning kits, etc.) than the iron was worth. In the end I had to replace it.

I hope you have better luck!

Got most of it off with a combination on wax paper and Mr. Clean sponge...still a bit on there, so will try again with a warm iron and the wax paper.

I use an iron cleaner, comes in a tube at Wal-mart, works great!

Dryer softener sheet is magic. Even for lots of fusible web buildup. I am not even carfull anymore about the web. I just iron over a dryer sheet and presto just like magic, all the gunk is gone!!!

ube is right, iron over a drying sheet it even removes gummy adhesives

I do this but sprinkle salt over the bag before ironing it. Works every time for me. Hope this helps.

Use fabric softener sheets from the dryer. It works every time.

Got this tip at LQS and it works....use a dryer sheet. Right out of the box any brand. Works great.

A fabric softener sheet works great. If the plate is not Teflon, use some salt on the sheet.
