You will love it!! i does get addicting. It is easy once you get it started. The hardest part is making sure you cut the scrap big enough.

I love PPing! Don't get discouraged your first time out of the gate. It can be confusing, trying to place the fabrics correctly and making sure you are sewing on the correct side of the block. I am no expert by any means but I have done a few and I still screw it up sometimes. But I do that with piece quilting too!

I used caroldoak.com she has some great free patterns, I started with the mariners compass for my 1st, took me abit to get used to working with my fabric upside down and make sure you have 1/4 inch over on all sides. and you will do fine. enjoy it

Paper piecing made no sense to me until I found this tutorial - this lady made it soooo easy - like an 'oh duh moment'....

and I've done a NY beauty just since I found the tutorial!

I didn't watch the whole of that you tube tutorial but the first diamond template on the video you will find on Quilters cache.com. Just go to a block that has paper piecing and when you click on that you will see a paper piecing template. Just thought that might help you also. You can print it off and follow the above tutorial :)

I am new to paper piecing also and I am loving it!
