I hope the black machine is a featherweight. That would really make your day. What a wonderful find and now you can put all of that fabric to use instead of letting it stay in storage.

Anyways, we meet her at her house as the plan was and we would follow her out to her storage unit which was probably a good 10 miles or so from her home.

She opens up the storage room door (shes got a 10 x 20) and immediately points to a stack of banana boxes just inside the door all marked with MY NAME ON THEM. Wow I was so excited.
So we load them in the trunk and the back seat of my friends car (her husband had her van and had to go and get some stuff for the gleeners going in the total opposite direction then we were going. So we get 8 banana boxes in the car. The lady says to me..."I have this antique chair would either of you like to have it?" Omg it was the coolest chair but I didn't take it, my friend did and we have to get it the next time we go to her house.
So after we load up the boxes, the lady says "Deanna I have something real special for you" Im like WHAT? and she handed me this box.... It is a Dritz Quilters Floor Frame size is 39 x 28 so its a small one, but thats okay I only have a small area.
So the three of us get to talking about sewing and the lady says "Do you see all those rubbermaid totes back there in the corner?" We say YES...and she says...those are yours too!!! SAY WHAT??? Im about to have a heart attack now mind you and I am sure my friend was too. There is 4 stacks of 5 rubbermaid totes FULL OF FABRIC. So that is 20 totes!!!!! ALL FOR ME and my friend LOL. And the total cost of all of it ..... $150!!! I am paying half of it and my friend is paying half!!
We brought only the banana boxes home and we stopped at the place that we have our sewing group and her and I went through the boxes. She picked up one fabric that had 10 yards of Aeroli bolis (northern lights) and she almost dropped to the floor she was shocked...she said that piece alone paid for ALL THE fabric. It will be a few weeks before we are able to go and pick up all the totes. And then to top it off... my friend took me to Lunch!!! So now I am doing the happy dance woohoo!!!
AND....a man that has a storage unit there also says he has a small black singer sewing machine that is really light and as soon as he can dig it out..hes going to call this lady and she will get ahold of me to come and get it. I think it might be a featherweight....I hope I hope.
Update to say....HMMM...it's not downloading pictures. :(
