I Went To A Quilt Show Today Too!
#1
I went to the TLC Quilters show today in Covina, CA - the one zyxQuilts (alias Sue) belongs to.
I found Sue while I was there (first time we've met), had lunch with her and a friend. The guild had put together a lunch with finger sandwiches and a scone with lemon curd, a small cake, assorted fruit, and chocolate. They had hot tea, which I love, served in china cups and saucers. How cool is that?
Saw the quilt she had made as part of a Whisper Challenge - it was of the Golden Gate Bridge and done in applicae and it was absolutely wonderful.
Saw lots of beautiful quilts, bought some stuff in their "stash" room and "country" store, bought tickets for their quilt raffle (which I've never ever won and probably have spent hundreds on in tickets over the years), and won a basket full of notions I'd taken a chance on in another raffle they had.
I had a wonderful day.

Sue took a picture of us together in front of her quilt but I think we blocked it out. I asked her to email it to me.
I discovered when I was on the freeway that I had left my cellphone at home so didn't have anything to take pictures with. Isn't that always the way.
