Hi Angie, you and Mae are going to make music, via quilts that is. I can tell you are doing a happy dance! May you enjoy each other for years to come.

Often bidding follows the seller's reputation /feedback, as well as the quantity of original accessories included. I would think later models would go for a higher bid. Many will mention when it was last serviced or show some stitches done on a piece of fabric...showing how even the stitches are. Also, just depends on whether it's a holiday (presidents day) where many might be on ebay, or another holiday (Christmas) when they are likely busy elsewhere. Other times when fewer people might be on ebay...graduation season, tax time, etc. The centennial editions (blue & gold emblem) usually are worth more on any Singer machine; including the FW 221.

She's a beautiful old girl, I'm just a little jealous, but am keeping one eye open for one...maybe I will be lucky too.
