I decided to get a new fiskar rotary cutter. It is ergonometric, I hate it, my blade wobbles some. The olfa cutters are not for me. The exposed blade really worries me.

I am really surprised. I have used the same ones (small, medium, large) for years and I do a ton of cutting along with my mom's group who use them also. I haven't had an issue yet but will be checking them out.

Ther ergonomic ones don't have exposed blades until you apply pressure to the handle

I wore out my Olfa also. Glad to hear that it just isn't me! I threw it away and got another. Oh well...........

You can wear the screw area if you press too hard because your blade is dull.

So true! One of my first quilt class instructors told the class this. She said change the blade when you have to push harder then when the blade was new causing future hurt to your hand and shoulder.
