When I made the large batch of pillowcases, I called our local shelter to see if they could use some, and they happily accepted them.
It was a men's shelter and some of the p-cases were feminine, so I told them to feel free to donate them to another shelter or sell them in their annual charity sale/auction, which they did.
It ended up helping them in two ways, both for home and also additional $$ from the auction.
