I make 3 1/2 in triangles out of my scraps so someday I will make a whole quilt out of them.
The best way to square up triangles is with the Quilt In A Day triangle square up ruler. A real time saver since it only takes one cut.
There are countless ways to arrange triangles for a quilt. Seems there was a blog here on the board that showed many of them, but it has been awhile and I dont remember what it was called.

Same here. Y'know how you're supposed to add 7/8" inch to the size? I add an inch so I haved plenty of "play". I just like to have mine trimmed to size right after I make them.
