WOW - the fabrics are beautiful, especially the larger musical fabric, unfortunately I don't have a pattern in mind.

I would dp a log cabin block as the center "medallion and then start adding color around it. I like the color of your wall with it. do something unexpected!

    Hi Sandy,
Have you heard of a Zentangle Quilt? A friend sent me this link. I have not made one yet but have this on my bucket list. I think your black and white fabrics would look perfect in this project. Good Luck and happy Quilting.

Love the idea and did go to the blog. I printed the instructions and plan on taking them to my quilt guild meeting next month. We have done ideas like this before for our quilt shows and also round robins and row robins. This really sounds fun.

OMGOSH, copycat, I love your suggestion. And I totally love Zentangle, too. I may have to give this a try. I love all or the ideas and if the Zentangle doesn't work out-I will probably go with the Log Cabin idea. Thank you so much-such a great crafty bunch of quilters!

My quilt class had a black/white swap for a bowtie quilt called Black Tie Affair. You can find it here.

I'm in the camp of adding a color that pops. Red, turquoise, hot pink, lime green are some that come to mind. I like the Zentangle quilt -- I did something like that in class a few years back just doodling in large pieces.

What about a large log cabin block, you could use it as a table topper or wall quilt.
