    Default Ideas For A Reunion Quilt

    Last year at my family reunion a cousin asked if I had brought a quilt to auction off. The thought had never occurred to me, but I loved it, so I told her I'd make one for this year's reunion...and forgot about it, lol. So, I'm looking for a fast quilt to make up before this year's reunion on July 6th. I know there are so many fast quilts out there, but I wanted something appropriate for a family reunion. Any thoughts?

    I had started some blocks where the centers could be used for a signature. Of course it isn't done but maybe I can work on finishing it for next year. I just placed multi-colored 1/2 square triangles around a white center. Our reunion isn't big enough to raffle a quilt off but the quilt could be given to the organizers of the reunion. If you didn't want to make a signature quilt you could do a disappearing 9 patch -- they always look great.

    How about Jenny's M*QC new quilt tutorial. I believe the name is Beach Balls and it is made with strips and yardage. The centers of the balls if done in light fabric would be perfect for signatures.

    I've just been watching videos of the Jelly Roll Race. Super fast. I prefer the #2 version with the white square attached in-between each strip. And I was thinking of doing it just using strips I cut myself.

    You could do the Jelly Roll Race and have solid rectangles between strips for signatures.

    A pattern called cake walk is really fast. You use a layer cake and half of a charm pack. It was in a book and I don't remember the name of it.

    I have been making Falling Charms quilts but cutting my own 5 inch squares. The tutorial is from Missouri Star Quilt Co. It is so easy and fast but looks way more complicated than it is. You can easily make the top in a couple of days.
